Photogram

This is a photogram, done before actual learning to use a camera. The purpose of a photogram is to learn darkroom basics and to practice using the enlarger. I enjoyed finding items that would demonstrate an interesting image without actually being a photograph. The only part of my photogram that I'm not a fan of is the alphabet stensil. I feel like it looks kind of bulky and makes the image seem unbalance, but I love the doily and ribbon.

This photo was taken for the first roll completed in my Photo I class at school. This particular photo assignment was hands and/or feet in nature. I love the way the contrast turned out in this photo and that without stating, it wouldn't be assumed that it was taken at school.

Framing: Child's Swing

This photo was taken on an old playground that is in front of my house. The playground itself is quite overgrown and not in use compared to when I was younger. The placement of this swing is actually an impromtu location; it's hanging from an insecure bar behind a bridge/fort on the playground. I took this photo in the late afternoon for the framing assignment. The lighting and the shadows that were cast through the bars of and structures of the playground are my favorite parts of this photo.
